That would make more sense to me. Come back with Fleury against Flyers. |

I agree. You aren't going to scratch him next year against a physical team. He needs the experience. I'd like to see Bortuzzo in for Engelland |

For this game I don't mind it. I just don't want it to become a pattern every time the pens face a "tough" team.
To get Bortuzzo in the lineup though, it would have made more sense to dress him in Wpg, and sit Engelland then. |

agree except for burtuzzo for engels... If martin leaves then you have letang/despres, nisk/orpik, burtuzzo/engels, reese
I think nisk can easily replace martin |

You don't sit Martin for Nisk. Other way around if anything. |

We sit Despres instead of Niskanen? That makes sense when a guy has been injured in the last game after coming back from injury. I'm sorry but I think Despres never comes out of the lineup. |

you think he will be leaving via trade? He is coming into his own and wont cost as much as martin.. Shouldnt they look at that with letang needing a new contract? or is your mind set for a letang eberle trade |

So do you think nisk is on the block? he is a RFA at the end of the year correct? If they keep him they will have to move someone else, with despres ready to fill top 4 role and morrow maybe being ready... plus you have reese as a nice 7th D.. or do you think they move burtuzzo?

Agreed. I like Engelland, but it seems like more often than not when the Pens are hemmed in their own end, its his pairing that is on the ice....which is odd, because his +/- is the best of any D on the team... |

Letang will be resigned.
Orpik wants to retire a Pen
Despres should be built around
Engellend has a nice contract. Bottom pairing
Niskanen is solid but nothing great 5th guy
Martin has been great but the fear is always there he will go back to last year.
Bortuzzo is keeping the seat warm for more mobile prospects
Reese is a fill in nothing more.
To me unless Joe Morrow is ready you cant move anyone. The Pens aren't deep on defense. If they trade it wouldn't surprise me if they add to D. If the Pens add it will be with prospects or picks. |
